Project Pricing Architectural & Structural Design Depending on the project size, I charge either by the hour or a lump sum amount. For smaller projects, (generally less than 5,000 sqft) I charge by the hour. My hourly rate is $30.00/hr. For larger projects (generally over 5,000 sqft) I charge a lump sum amount. The following fee schedule is for projects designed under a lump sum design fee. The minimum base charge for design work upto 15,000 sqft. shall be $3,000.00. For projects larger than 15,000 sqft., the amount of the base charge shall be calculated based on the overall square footage multiplied by a per sqft. cost (see chart below). The base charge covers only the design and drafting time to design the architectural and structural portions of the project. The base charge does not include fees for mechanical design, electrical design, plumbing design, structural engineering review, architectural review, permiting fees, reproduction costs. etc. Architectural review and/or structural engineering review will average between $2,000-$4,000 per review per project, however this will vary based upon the size and complexity of the project. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design/engineering will average $2,000 per 10,000 s.f. of space per trade per project, however this will vary based upon the size and complexity of the project. Example: The MEP design on a structure that is 30,000 s.f. would be calculated as follows for each trade: (30,000 / 10,000) x $2,000 = $6,000 per trade A good rule of thumb is to take the overall square footage and multiple by $1.00 s.f. This will give you fairly close estimate of what the completed design cost will be with everthing included (base design charge, MEPS, architectural review and structural review). Keep in mind that this is just an estimate. The actual cost will vary based upon the size and complexity of the project. Reproduction fees will vary per project. Customer is responsible for all permitting fees accessed by local governing jurisdictions.

3D Renderings Renderings will have a professional color photo apperance with visualization showing the primary building structure in 3D form plus landscaping, cars, people, parking, etc. Colorized rendering (single view) = $500.00 Each additional view = $100.00
Notary Services $2.00 per page (non-design clients) This fee will be waived if as a client your particular project has documentation requiring notarization. |
